Breakfast Smoothie

Make this smoothie every morning for breakfast. It’s rich in vitamins, antioxidants, fiber, omega-3 fats, monounsaturated fats, soy protein, and so much more!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 kiwi, peeled
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup soy milk
  • 1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup tofu
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted natural peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons aloe vera juice
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed oil
  • 1 teaspoon barley grass powder (optional)

Directions:
In a blender, combine banana, apple, kiwi, mixed berries and orange juice. Blend until smooth. Add soy milk, yogurt, tofu, peanut butter, aloe vera juice, flaxseed oil, and barley grass powder. Blend again until well blended. Pour into glasses and serve.

Pina Colada Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple pieces
  • 1 frozen banana, peel banana before freezing
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen vanilla or strawberry yogurt
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 3 tablespoon coconut
Preparation: Combine all ingredients together and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Tropical Paradise Smoothie Recipe

This is a great smoothie that appeals to most tastes because there are so many fruits in this mix. Great smoothie recipe!

  • 1 1/2 cups pineapple-orange juice
  • 1 cup sliced banana (about 1 medium)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 3/4 cup diced pineapple
  • 1/2 cup vanilla fat-free frozen yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon flaked sweetened coconut

Preparation: Combine all ingredients in a blender, and process until smooth. Serve immediately.

Rain Forest Fusion Smoothie

Try this recipe with coconut milk and taste the unique difference it offers. So many flavors, none of which are dominant. With this nice mix of fruits it gives you a smoothie taste you have never had before.

Smoothie Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple pieces
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut milk
  • 1/2 tsp. lime juice
  • 1/2 cup nonfat frozen yogurt
  • 1/2 cup ice

Preparation: Combine ingredients in blender; mix until smooth and frothy. Serves 1.

Raspberry Peach Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups cashews, soaked 4-8 hours, discard soaking water
  • 1 cup raspberries (frozen)
  • 1 cup peaches (frozen)
  • 2 tablespoon agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ice cubes (if you want it colder)

Preparation:

  1. Place cashews and water in a blender and process on high speed until creamy, for about 1 minute.
  2. Add raspberries, peaches, agave and vanilla. Blend until rich and smooth.
  3. Blend in ice cubes if desired.
  4. Serve in tall glasses.

Tropical Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • ½ can pineapple in its own juice, including juice
  • 1 cup of Papaya, peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped
  • 1 mango, peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and broken into chunks
  • 2-3 tablespoons coconut cream (not milk)
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 to 1½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 to 1 ½ cup crushed ice

Preparation: Blend all ingredients, except ice, in blender first set at medium and then at high. When smooth continue blending while pouring in 1 to 1½ cups crushed ice. Serves 4 to 6.

Berry Blast Smoothie

Berries are a great fruit for smoothies and this berry smoothie has a boatload of berries. Feel free to throw some boysenberries in here as well or as a substitution.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 blackberries
  • 1 cup low-fat yogurt (some type of berry yogurt would be best, but plain is fine too)
  • 1/4 cup low-fat milk or 1/2 cup fat-free milk
  • 2 cups of ice

* While this smoothie is heavy on berries it doesn’t lack a variety of flavor. Blend until smooth.

Non-Dairy Healthy Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of frozen berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and/or strawberries)
  • 1 scoop of whey powder
  • 1 Tbs. flaxseed oil
  • 1Tbs. ground flaxseed
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 1 pack of Stevia
  • 8 ice cubes
  • 1 cup water

Preparation: Blend until smooth and if needed you can add a few ice cubes to thicken it up. It makes a little over sixteen ounces.

Blueberry Heaven Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 7 oz vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice

Preparation: To make this quick smoothie, simply place the blueberries into your blender, followed by the lemon juice, orange juice, vanilla extract, yogurt and lastly, the ice. Blend on full power for around 30 seconds. Serve immediatley. Perfect for a hot summer day. Serves one.

Orange Julius Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 can of frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1/2 c water
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c milk
Preparation: Blend all ingredients in a blender for 30 seconds. Try other concentrate flavors!

Strawberry Banana Supreme Smoothie

It is worth trying to find strawberry nectar to make this smoothie. This is a very popular smoothie as it contains strawberry flavors and banana.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberry nectar or apple juice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup strawberry yogurt

Preparation: Pour all liquid ingredients into the blender. Add all frozen ingredients. Blend on the MIX setting for 30 seconds. Then blend at the SMOOTH setting until smooth. While the machine is running, move the stir stick around counter-clockwise to aid mixing. Serve immediately. Each recipe serves 3-5.
